ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Claire

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I moved to Canada six years ago from South Africa and have been welcomed into this gorgeous country I now call home. I am a mom to two incredible boys who constantly keep me on my toes and yes I have learnt a lot about a world called Minecraft that I did not know existed.

 

I have always had a passion for art and photography, however I never thought I’d be able to turn my hobby into a job I love. After studying art at high school, I ended up with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and many years working in the petrochemical industry, very much in a comfort zone. I have always been the one in the crowd with a camera, insisting a photo (& many selfies!) be taken to capture the moment. Thankfully one day (with a lot of help and belief in my abilities from loved ones around me) I finally realized that I should step outside my comfort zone, pick up my camera and follow my dreams...and now I am here!!

I have to thank all the amazing parents out there that have trusted me with their precious newborn babies and have allowed me to freeze time and capture these cherished memories in a photograph.

I work from my home studio in the SW Calgary area and look forward to welcoming you and your family.
